WASH stands for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene which will be one of the primary factors of support to the government schools during Edu-daan.
WASH projects will ensure that the government schools have the complete facilities on drinking water, staff, boys and girls toilets and hand washing facilities within the premises.
WASH will also include basic sensitisation of the teachers and students in practising sanitation and hygiene at school as well as at homes.

This branch of work under Edu-daan will be slightly different from the usual models of scholarships.
Not only providing the school fees for deserving students, this scholarship will also look at supporting students who would require little bridges to fill gap causing the difficulties in accessing schools or education. One of the examples would be providing bicycles to the students who live far from school to be able to commute everyday without a lot of inconvenience.

Government schools are often neglected and deprived of adequate facilities despite the budgets allocated and the services provided. Hence, the students fall in the crevasse of an extremely lacking education system and necessities at schools. These can range from scarcity of benches to sit on, amenities around schools such as toilets and playgrounds and even basic educational materials like practical learning tools, computers or science materials. Edu- Daan will try and bridge that gap where students can make the best out of the materials provided through this project, getting a similar access to a good education like those at private schools.

Teacher’s training:

With the recent research done, it has become evident that many a times the teachers at government schools are either not well trained or have the resources to rely unto to create an effective curriculum plan for the students.
To try and address this challenge, Edu-Daan project will explore avenues of teacher’s training - an exclusive workshop model for the government school teachers, facilitating the various learning and teaching methods which will be shared by the teachers at private schools and leading organisations with working models for education. All the requirements at the various schools will be determined through an elaborate survey that will be undertaken with the help of interns or the corporate volunteers at the time.All the assessments will be available to see on our website here.

Proposed Budget Allocation


We work with the Department of Education, to identify and validate schools that are in need for potential intervention.


We visit the schools and create community profiles based on a thoroughly researched set of metrics.


We create a budget and plan for school interventions. Each community provides some support in revitalizing the school.


We collaborate with community volunteers, local labourers, and empaneled contractors in the construction process.


We provide school supplies and materials to students and teachers.


We provide supplemental programming for community members, children and teachers
